....of Mom Part II

Mom has been using all our old mobile phones, I mean dad's and mine. All this while.

What do you expect of a housewife whom only make calls and answering them, right? Oh wait. She learnt how to text message also. That was a vast improvement from the only-make-and-receive-calls' stage! Seeing her poking the phone's keypad for at least 10-15 minutes before she could send the message out to Auntie Wei Mun and the "chat" session went on, for quite sometime since both needed looooooooooooonger period to reply each other. You know laa~

Mom was using my old Nokia 8250. A very good phone since 2003. All her basic needs are met until.. recently. The battery life has deteriorate with time. It can last only for a day.

Mom felt that it's time for her to change. She wants a NEW phone this time. No more passed down ones. And..

She demanded for phone with at least 2.0 Mega Pixels camera (as tho she knows what's the differences between pixels, always hear the words from sis and I gua), mp3, video camera, coloured-screen, polyphonic ringtone (so that she can have Winter Sonata song as her call ringtone) and the list goes on. Oh yea, she wants bluetooth also.

---

She told me to help her search around for good phones like this. Dad's gonna pay for it.
And.. she doesn't want a candy-bar phone.

Preferably a flip-phone? She wants the gaya. Cough.

---

Dad saw a nokia flip phone. I didn't like it. I didn't like the style, the specifications and also for the price quotation. Well, when it comes to technology stuff in my family, I guess they would prefer to hear from me. Grins. I ain't a tech savvy etc but I love finding out stuffs like this and do some comparison to get the best with the best price.

---

Before youth on Saturday, mom finally bought the phone. An original Motorola Z3. Fits all the specifications that she wants except that it's not a flip phone. It's a sliding one.

Now, mom's excited with her new 'toy'. She doesn't know how to use it but I'm patient enough (I hope) to teach her from scratch.

Oh, today she learnt how to use the dictionary to text message. She's excited!

---

I'm not surprised if she picks up the "camwhoring" habit from us real soon and starts blogging?

She'll be a computer savvy and don't need my help anymore. *Slap* okay, enough of dreaming.

Well, so now mom uses the most canggih-ed phone in the family (maybe after me) and the funniest thing is, she beats Mun Wah. Mun Wah damn bengang as her mom's (a housewife) phone is more canggih than hers, one who doesn't use much.

Gosh, the world is changing!

Wait, no.

Jean Nee's mom uses Nokia N73 too. More advanced than Jean's when hers is already canggih enough (at least to me).

Till then, signing OFF
