"Mom, you sure its a MV ah? So long dy stil no music one? Not movie meh?"

Caffeine + Theobromine -> Chocolate

I came across an interesting fact when I flipped through my Instrumental Analysis' (one of my subjects) textbook last year. And this is what it says..

Chocolates have been the "SAVIOUR" of many a student on the long night before a major assignment was due. My favourite chocolate bar, jammed with 33% fat and 47% sugar, propels me over mountains in California's Sierra Nevada. In addition to its high energy content, chocolate packs an extra punch with stimulant caffeine and its biochemical precursor, theobromine.

(taken from Daniel Harris, 6th Edition of Quantitative Chemical Analysis)

Still working on my assignments and burning midnight oil every nite. So, I took the advise properly, and munching on chocolates and enjoyed myself with 1/2 can of Coca-Cola so that their caffeine content will be in good use =). Why not coffee, you may ask. Reason - My body has already immuned to it, so no effects.. equilibrium. LOL.

Folks, help yourself with some chocolates and Coke when you need to burn midnight oil. Feel free to.. and delete the mindset of it being "fattening" before I give you a long lecture on where your chocolates will be and how much of it will be converted to fats okay. =) So far so good. Be blessed with this take home message!

Note for Amelia: Chocolates are NOT enemies, they could be your friend =)

Procrastination - good or evil?

...PROCRASTINATORS ARE EVERYWHERE, HERE I'M ONE MYSELF...

Procrastinator is my name and procrastinating is what I do =)
In layman term = last minute.
Am I surprised? Why should I? Gosh! It's not a good thing, and I shouldn't. So far, I don't see what good procrastinating do me, eh, wait, NO! I discovered something, usually my procrastinated assignments and work done scores higher than those that I've put lotsa effort in it. My exams also, the grades are better when I procrastinated. This is weird. Oh no, this is no good. But trust me, procrastinating will do you no good.

Last Saturday, supposed to "celebrate" someone's birthday, but because of last minute and not properly planned, the event was called off. And it brought regret to me as someone was not happy. And now, I'm procrastinating my assignment! Gosh. Have to cure this disease before it spreads further into my life, seeping into every angle of my work done. Someone, please help me!

Gotta resume my assignment now.

P/s: Kids at home, do not copy any of these actions (i.e. procrastination) without parents' supervision =)

Till then, signing

Happy Birthday! =)

Happy birthday to both our beloved AUNTIE JANIE and MINDY LIM. May God continue to shower greater blessings in your lives and you'll be a great blessing to others. Be blessed! =)

Strumming My Guitar -- Nothing Brings Me Closer To Heaven

...Strumming my guitar..
nothing brings me
closerto heaven...

Imissed those moments worship leading on the stage with my acoustic guitar in my hands, giving my all to God in worship and its true.. Strumming my guitar - nothing brings me closer to heaven. When the College Fellowship was suggested to meet in houses, like a cell, I don't mind but I know I'll surely miss the worship with the full band and stuff.

Boy, I was wrong. We do NOT need a full band to worship God, what more on stage? Last Saturday was our first meeting in Ronnie's place. We didn't prepare as to, no worship leader and stuff. Ronnie brought down the guitar from his room and he asked, "What song ah?". ROFL. He then said, "We sing Glory okay, you all know the lyrics rite? *looking at Unc Raymond*"

As Ronnie strums the acoustic guitar, the rest stood up to sing except for me, I remained sitted and something urged me to pray. And then I stood and as I sung the first line of "Glory", to praise Him and to welcome Him, He indeed came!! His presence was so strong that I broke down on the spot and I wept. Yes, Mun Khea wept. Imagine, it was a moderately fast song and everyone was happily praising Him and I was... Nevermind, to cut the story short, the meeting, the worship and His presence was AWESOME. Eventhough it was just the few of us with only ONE guitar, its marvellous. It was refreshing.

I'm looking forward to the meeting every Saturday. He has a great plan for us, the true destiny and His presence is not limited only in church, He's everywhere. I worshipped Him only with my guitar at home, alone, and I always feel His presence really strong and I'm seen so small there, just lying down at his bosom (like how Mayvern puts it). Therefore, be encouraged and be blessed knowing that Jesus is always with you, He's the same yesterday, today and forevermore. Amen.

Happy Birthday, Amelia!

Having this low morale "disease" these few weeks, don't know why. Lotsa self-condemnation or rather, feel not belonged anywhere, among any friends..that sort. Prolly am just too "sensitive". "Think too much la you!" is what Fangyi said whenever I chat with him online. Thanks, boy!

Big time camwhorer! Just kidding. Sweet, nice friend she is.

Oh boy, I feel so much like a STALKER when I can actually post all these photos here! Hhmm.. No, am not! She took them all by herself (using my camera, thats why). That's all. Jesus loves you.

"Let go, and God will take control"

"Alright, you have control"

"I have control"

How many of you watched Triumph In The Skies, a TVB series that was up on Wah Lai Toi sometime last year? I enjoyed these series, and I find it so gaya to be a pilot, almost quitted Monash to join the flying school! Just kidding.

Even in our lives, we're like the pilot and God is the co-pilot itself. During our journey of life, we being the pilot, we will fly ourselves to the destination that we ought to reach and God will be with us all the way. He's powerful, but He allows us to make decisions ourselves, we have the freedom, we have the full control. But there are times when things get out of hands and we would need the co-pilot's help so that we can still reach the destination safely as planned. These are the times when we need to surrender ourselves to God, letting go of things and let Him be in FULL control.

What's the difference when you prayed and asked God to help you to overcome a problem, but you didn't want to let go, fear of letting go things as they will never be the same again? God can't take control when you refuse to let go. Get what I mean? Only one pilot at a time, 2 pilots cannot control the same plane at the same time.

I know its hard, I've gone through, I too refused to let go. Things did not improve, the stubborn me finally gave up, God took over and everything became well! Everything was in control. And the pilot-ship (if there's such word) was given back to me when things are already in control. So...

"Let go, and God will take control"

B) Green (9)
C) Blue (22)
D) Purple (1)

Question #5 and #10 are common questions that people got wrong for.

Need to clarify this, for question #5, take no offence bout the names. If your name is there or isn't, I'm not trying to hint anything or judge. Everyone is precious to me. Just that, this particular person made a slightly deeper impact in my life years ago. The rest of you are really wonderful people in my life. Really. If I were to list all the names that have blessed me before, I'll probably have skip my sleep for a few nights as there are too many names. You guys, everyone of you left a footprint in my heart and cannot be removed even with chlorox or any sort of strong oxidizing agent that you can name =) Alright, not getting emo here. Hehe

As for question #10, just because my previous and current car is green, it doesn't mean that my favourite colour is green. It's purely co-incident! Green colour blog, how do you explain that? Yes, I can't find nice blue template for this blog, and thus, this template will be. The tagbox, I edited the colour just to suit the template. If you mingle long enough with me, you'll realise that I love blue. What more to those of you who have come into my room before. Everything is blue, from the wall to bed sheet, comforter, sofa bed, bags, DOOR colour, albums, any belongings, are all BLUE. I'm lovin' it!

So I guess now you all know me slightly more? And I would like to specially congrats those that got 100% for this test, wonderful! Thanks everyone and happy easter!!

Temptations - can you resist them?

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Kenneth called me last Tuesday and his words tempted me just right, all he said was, "wanna go fried chicken tonite?" and you know la.. my taste receptor and my higher centre namely the brain started responding, couldn't resist it much as I missed so many times with the rest of the fried chicken kaki (college fellowship of Harvest Youth). So, there Li Anne, Mun Wah, Kenneth and myself went..

Be honest, how many of you do give in to temptations frequently? I fall for many quite easily, last time, now fewer dy but still have. Temptations are not necessary food, it could be friend's invitation for something, or something that you like. Temptations are always sweeter and juicier and definitely very attractive. If not, it'll fail to tempt you la! But in those times where we fall into the trap of temptations, things would change and things will never be the same again. We prolly lose something precious to us, many would put the blame to God. They'll say, "God tempt me, and that's why I'm like this now"

Well, God doesn't tempt people, He only give trials but He allows the devil to tempt us. I was just sharing with Xuewen and Amelia the other day on how blessed Job is (in the book of Job).. and how the devil told God that earthly people like us, only praise God and lift His Name up high because we're blessed. And with this, the devil held a bet with God, putting his hand on Job, ruining Job's life, testing if Job will still praise God with all the loss. Job didn't know all these, and if we were him, I guess most of us would have backslided by then. However, Job of course didn't understand all these.. and after the long 37 chapters in the book of Job, Job decided to surrender everything to God because afterall, everything that he has belongs to God. He still choose to praise and bless His name. Finally, devil lose the bet and God restored everything in multiple fold to Job. I, myself have personally experienced all these blessings and lost everything at the same time (prolly the devil was betting with Jesus again) and Mun Khea was miserable and after a long period, she finally chose to surrender everything back to God and she was also restored everything in multiple folds! Praise be unto God!

Besides this, even Jesus was tempted by the devil itself before He started His ministry on earth in the wilderness (Luke 4). But did Jesus give in? No!

So should we! I plan to fast this week, and I'll try my best not to give in to any temptations. Anyone with me? Anyway, do pray for me. =)
