Tanggal Tiga Puluh Satu.

So I was at Crop Science lecture today at 5pm, tried my very best paying full attention to the very soft lecturer.

My mind wandered a little (only very little) and of all things on the slide, what caught my eye is this

and this:

Is Singh a surname?

So as I was trying to complete my GEN3030 assignment, I got stuck at one part.

The citation and reference part for our fellow Punjabi scientists.

(please click to enlarge the picture)

So in this case, I should cite them as (Kango-Singh et al., 2002)?

and what if the first author of other journal is Amit Singh. So, cite him as (Singh et al., 2002)?

You know, like my dad's customers will greet him as Mr Chee. So, they're Mr Singh? I mean, seriously?

I know it sounds dumb but hey, I don't know how to cite okay, especially when it comes to this kind of situation (Asians especially).

Can't everyone just be John Smith? Simple and easy. Hahaha.

Thank You!

You loved, you loved people undeserving.

So what can I say?
And what could I do?
But offer this heart O God
Completely to You

If only.

If only they see You like how I see..
If only they feel You like how I feel..
If only they understand, like how You do..
If only...

I'm left hanging at the edge. Somewhere at the grey zone. Even when dilemma strucks in, I still choose to cling onto You.

As the going gets tough, hear my cry and only You (and Your time) can prove things right.

I thank You.

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar,
The only thing that keeps me wishin' on a wishin' star,
He's the song in the car I keep singin', don't know why I do...

Sinful Indulgence.

No cameras were allowed inside Beryl's chocolate factory. So, no pictures of each processes.

I only have this, my favourite.

Photobucket
Dilen and Ryan.

So cute right?

Random facts:

  1. Main ingredients for chocolate making are mixture of cocoa mass and cocoa butter
  2. Dark chocolates are made of mainly cocoa mass only.
  3. White chocolates are made of cocoa butter (aka fats/oil solids) only!
Anyway, cocoa butter is rich of Vitamin E -- good for skin (and fertility ^^)!

Just so you know..

Chocolate Survey!

I need 1/2 an hour to reach home from school at non-peak hours and prolly 45 mins at peak hours.

These days, I need 1 hour plus to reach home from school (or to go to school) whether its peak or non-peak hours.

The traffic is THAT bad.

lansi-ness

What's that hanging from my mouth? Correct guesses will get a packet of those =)

---

Will be joining a lawatan sambil belajar to a Chocolate Factory with the Sunday School Kids later. Whoohoo!!

Hopefully cameras are allowed in there.

---

By the way, this is an IMPORTANT survey that Sue-li and I have been conducting since first year of uni. (Sue-li refused to mengaku kalah eventhough she knows that chocolate should be eaten like this and not by freezing them first. Anyway...)

Here's the survey:

You know when you buy chocolates from 7-11 or Cold Storage or wherever, do you eat the chocolate straight away once you buy it --- that original texture..

or.. do you bring it home, freeze it in your refrigerator and eat them only when its hardened?

Share with us your preference!

PollPub.com VoteWhich chocolate texture do you prefer?
Of course the chocolate bars from the shelf (of 7-11, Cold Storage etc) la!
Frozen chocolates from the refrigerator. I like it hard. The harder the better.
Eww, chocolates? They are enemies!

Wisdom.

"People closes to you hurts you the most!" (Chua, 2008).

I saw this on Ann Gee's pm and come to think bout it, quite true uh. But why?

"that's because you have a higher expectation of those that are close to you than those kelefeh"
-kaiyuuen-

"you love them, that's why you will feel hurt :) If people that you're not close to, you won't even bother bout it."
-jiawen-

Very true. Well, that sums it all. Not really, but quite a big portion of it la.

---

I have Haematology test coming up this Monday. I have to complete my entire Haematology textbook (that sums up to 325 pages, OMG!) to be really prepared for this test.

325 pages? I think I'll prolly put a decimal point in between la, I'll read 32.5 pages maybe? Battling against time.

Whoa, study also wanna bargain.

Anyway, now I'm thankful for paying attention in the lectures while jotting notes. It's really time saving as I don't feel the need of going through the entire book.

Photobucket

It's coming to an end of week 3 in school now. And I'm still surviving! So far so good. Now, prolly I've passed that 2 weeks of warm warm chicken dung probation period with flying colours and I'm upgraded to chicken dung's level! Just kidding.

Nothing is impossible because Mun Khea is serving a God of All Possibility! Nothing is too big for Him.

Just an encouragement, I shall leave you my favourite line: "If MK can do it, YOU CAN DO BETTER!"

Blessings.

When iniquities emerge in your life, don't give up. Press on, hang on there.

He will turn EVERY iniquities around to be blessings and blessings more abundantly. He really will, I've seen it happening to others and experienced it myself.

Congrats, Xuewen! I'm proud of you!

Thanks, Ah Sian for organising the reunion for The Gang.

It was really really really good just to meet up with y'all again. And I seriously miss conversing in my broken Mandarin with y'all. And the lame jokes? HAHAHA! It was really great to have y'all again!

I seriously still don't get it how we managed to finish up 2 claypots of bahkutteh, nestum he-kor, steamed la-la, salted fish kailan and hokkien mee. Gosh~ Not forgetting our ice-cream with ice kacang as appetizer. Extra 10 laps after tonight okay!

Mayjean, full attendance for next month's reunion okayy! Janji!

Nerdy pickup lines.

A good one from Whay Ying:-

whay ying . chris crocker says (9:36 PM):
if you were an enzyme

whay ying . chris crocker says (9:36 PM):
i would be DNA helicase

whay ying . chris crocker says (9:37 PM):
so i could unzip your genes

whay ying . chris crocker says (9:37 PM):
HAHAHAHA

(hint: unzip your jeans)

Another one:

whay ying . chris crocker says (9:45 PM):
Nice blouse. But it would look even better accelerating at 9.8 m/s2 toward my bedroom floor.

(Hint: gravity)

Very good one right?

Who is faster?

Yeah, who is faster? Hot or Cold?

Duh. It's so obvious right, of course la Hot!

Why?

'Cause we can easily catch cold.

Not true? Oh well, I just caught one.

Actions.

Before we can be a good biotechnologist for better crop yield, we must first learn how to be a farmer ourselves.

Photobucket

We must actually mix the soil with sands and organic matter (chicken dung in this case) ourselves according to their ratio.

Photobucket

With all these toiling (sweat + mud on our shoes and jeans), I now appreciate the farmers even more.

And with advancements in biotechnology, I'm determined to help those farmers to get better and more yield each time they sow their seeds (provided if I'm still in this line when I graduate).

Most probably not.

---

On a random note, I DISLIKE TALKATIVE GUYS. Especially guys who talks a lot and have no actions. In malay, omong kosong. Get what I mean?

I've encountered a few (and one of them is in the pictures above pointed with red arrows). See, no actions right? Got la, but not much. Herein, I believe more in girl power now.

Quoting babe in her debate, "Talk is noise when you don't have anything important to say"

I personally think that that's a good one.

No chicken dung, please!

It feels so good just be in Monash again. The atmosphere, the people, the smell -- ahh, the smell of Monash University!

Photobucket

I enjoy the feeling where people rushes out from one lecture hall to get into another lecture hall.

I enjoy the feeling when we bump into our friends while rushing to our classes; say our hello, exchange smiles and wave our goodbyes -- everything in a frame of one minute, or less.

Photobucket

It's not like I'm antisocial or dislike having longer conversations or whatsoever, I would love to, really and if I have the time.

Actually I'm someone who loves tight schedules (okay, not for assignments or that sort). I love it when someone adds events to my calender. At least I have something to look forward to, if you get what I mean. For example, the summer holiday I just had. It was, "wow!"

Phuket trip -- Youth camp -- hand-mime practices -- Christmas shopping + celebration -- Singapore + JB trip -- summer course -- CNY -- worked part time -- school commencement

Now tell me, who can beat that? It's all back-to-back but I'm enjoying every bit of it!

---

The school still looks the same. The lecturers also.

The only thing that is different is my group of friends! No more The Gang hanging out together in Monash. I'm only left with Yikwooi (whom I conveniently introduced her as "Yuan Ding" to nilimpa just now. Thousand apologies, dear!) and Yuan Ding.

The Gang, I miss you all!

It's my 7th semester here already and school is just... well, school for me?

From the experience of the past semesters, I'm already immuned and no longer content the excitement of a freshman. You know, the warm warm chicken dung excitement? The so-called momentum for the resolutions that we made for school usually will not surpass two weeks.

Photobucket

And I'm actually paying full attention in class, making notes and actually feels fun studying. Some shot me, those SAM kids (Whay Ying and friends) la.. they said its just the kick. The warm warm chicken dung thingy again.

I seriously hope not. *cross fingers*

People, check on me after 2 weeks okay.

Okay, now I start to feel that it's not gonna working...

"Oi stupid thoughts, leave MK alone, can? Determination, MK! Aja aja fighting!!"

Indeed.

"You know what cmk. You proclaimed this week to be a great week right. And after what ps ryan told us about worship today and the message the guy shared. It is indeed a great week lah, no?"

-alxt-

Indeed.

His awesomeness is beyond comprehension.
