Sometime ago (25th May), Xue Wen posted "A lil' Something From China 2007" in her blog. I remember that it took her around 5-6 hours just for that post. Just for that 69 pictures! Whoa. And it almost killed her.
I understood that feeling because I'm uploading the similar amount of pictures now.
So, if your connection is somewhat like a tortoise-speed, or you're busy busy busyy.. it's a kind advice here to not continue reading this post.
With demands from some friends, hereby, presenting to you the new campus of Monash University, Malaysia Campus.
Monash University, Malaysia Campus. From the carpark
The bridge linking the campus from the carpark.
Btw, who say Monash got no hot girls? (Hint: Pointing arrow)
The entrance to Monash University (not the main one), from the carpark
Superior view of the arrangement of blocks, according to the faculties.
The lifts.
These lifts can talk. They go, "You're at 6th floor.. 6th floor.."
They also have braille writings on the lift buttons. It's good for some of the not so fortunate students/visitors. Hearing and touching of the brailled buttons could lead you to the place you want to go.
You can find AT LEAST 2 lifts in EACH floor and EACH block. Thank God for lifts. I can't imagine running up all the floors from building to building.
MUSA (Monash University Student Association) lounge
A place to chill before and after class. Not during, please. Cough. There are several foosball tables and pool tables. Air-conditioned area along with televisions for students.
Cafeteria.
This cafeteria is rather small when compared to the old one. Not much choices as the food are so pricey! Anyone wants to have 1901 or San Francisco Coffee for lunch everyday?? I cannot afford though.
The seats at cafeteria
Bookshop.
Oh, this is our bookshop. I saw lotsa chocolate bars on the snack rack. Along with the arrangement of books, the lightings; I reckon it looks more like a MPH to me, the smaller version. Maybe like the one in Tesco, Klang?
Library & Learning Commons.
The entrance to the library
Some online places in the library
This is a 3-storeys-high library, furnished with washrooms and lifts at every floor.
Wan Chin finds it not fair because her library in Taylors is way smaller and there isn't any washrooms. Because of that, she thinks that Monash should NOT pamper her children with such facilities too.
No way man! It's always freezing cold in the library, I visit the washroom more often here. I need them.
The book racks.
I don't know how many books are there in every rack, but there are 39 book racks in EACH floor.
The library seats
This is where you're gonna find me especially at the end of every semester. Nerd-ing there day and night for at least a month before exam (if we're lab reports-free). I hope I don't doze off in these nice seats. Gosh, how to study la like that??
The auditorium
This is where the talks/seminars are held.
Wan Chin.
Oh, did I tell you that Wan Chin went "whooooo... whooaahhh.." all the way when she see all these auditoriums and what not? So cute la..
I can't imagine bringing Mun Sheung here, it's gonna be worse!
The PA room, at the back of the auditorium.
That's the mixer in the PA room. It's so cool to have this, the LCD projection is from top back. Exactly like a cinema. The surround sound and the ambience too. I like it here.
Oh oh, the following is my favourite place! My faculty!
The Medicine, Pharmacy and Health Sciences faculty.
It's in block 3, nearest to the main entrance but furthest from the carpark. There are 7 floors to it, and its ALL LABS in the entire 7 floors! Crazy right?
The eerie-hospital-like-looking corridor of this building.
The left and right "hollows" are the entrances to the labs. Wan Chin finds it eerie here, so hospital-like and the people that walks in and out of the labs wears lab coats. Professional looking.
Oh, professional looking? Like us? Cough.
The labs.
We went in to play in one of the physiology labs. And I like it here!
The muscle model.
Oh, Benjamin was supposed to pose with this model. But he's shy. Because of that breast muscle there la. He's trying to paint himself innocent, but I don't know how true it is.
The heart model.
The brain. Oh, I so need this. Dear Daddy God, can I be like Solomon?
The prostate gland.
Benjamin's also shy with this. I wonder why.
The female pelvis
The male pelvis.
The backbone.
Come meet my 2 friends, the skeletons.
Gosh, I looked super-duper fat standing with them.
Wan Chin with The Eye.
The rest of the labs looks pretty much the same. Moving on..
The air-conditioned bridge.
This is the bridge that links the Medical and Science faculty to the Business Faculty.
It's air-conditioned and has *cough* good views. Ben and I planned to make this one of our revision places next time.
Quite a brilliant idea.
The top view from one of the buildings
The Monash Receptionist.
The finance counter and other services are somewhere around this building.
The view of the library from the other side, from the admin building.
Oh, did I mention that there are 8 computer labs in level 4 of block 9 itself?
There are some other computer labs in each faculty, I heard. But these are labs for common use.
One of the computer labs. So small la!Bilik Pelayan. Ohh.. kayyy, it sounded obscene. Well, it's the server room!
Small lecture halls.
It's funny to see that the lecture halls here are labelled "S" and "M" which stands for small and medium respectively. They are labelled according to their sizes.
For example, LT 1s_6009 which stands for Lecture Theatre 1 (small) in block 6, basement, room number 09.
So standard, right?
The canggih-ed Over-Head-Projector (OHP).
I'm amazed by this OHP. The common OHP we use are those bulky ones, but this is so slim.
It's Samsung's product. So, another ultra edition model like my mobile phone?
The sound-absorbance wall to reduce echo and to lessen sound reflections.
Oh, that's the lecturer-wannabe-me!
That's all for now. I took 2 1/2 hours for this post!
To the school-goers readers, if there are any enquiries bout studying in Monash University or any other courses in any universities, can leave me your question and your email address at the "comment" section for this post or email me straight at aehknum@gmail.com. It's my honour to serve you.
Till then, signing OFF

Am I the only one who thinks the bridge at the carpark (2nd picture) is VERY VERY SCARY TO WALK ON?
hey, munk...what happened to the CMK pose? we took a long time to get it right! haha!!
Wow~ . . so big!! canggih-fied. . =) haha. .
Yoong Kang: You're not the only one. I think it's freaking scary to walk there. It's just a "thin" piece of metal. With today's weather, the "hujan acid" will "hakis" it and soon, we'll be falling into the big smelly drain. :S
nilimpa: I agree! Haha! It's quite bouncy on hot sunny days (proses pengembangan berlaku).
wchin: sorry la, I find them so retarded la!! I mean myself, and most post shiyan wasnt looking at the camera. You looked good la! The best poser.. haha! Dont want to memalukan ourselves here.
angela: haha! so small compared to your UM okay! ours is like a small fry only la.. I supposed your faculty alone is bigger than our university. Hehe! Canggih-fied? Haha! Guess they're tryin to impress ppl and make it look super grand only la. Since its an internationally recognized university. Just the impression.. nothing extra.
eevon: you are right! =)
whoa.....love the campus man....unlike mine.....*cringe* aiks...*shakes head* hopelessness man..even my new campus aint like that....sigh....
Haha! The one in Kampar looks not bad, quite huge what.
I kinda like this campus, more high class.. except for the cafeteria and carpark.
