We had it again in Port Dickson this time.
Joy, Andrea and LingLing blessed me with these.. upon arrival.
The worship and God's presence was really great throughout the camp.
The thirsty us, thirsty for His touch once again.
Okay, I've tried blogging for the past 1/2 hour and I cant seem to put things in words. So, I'll just let some pictures do their own talking okay.
The camp committee is comprised of folks from Bethany (Singapore) and Harvest (Malaysia). I must say, it was not easy organising a camp with people you don't know.
Youth Camp '07 camp committee.
And its like, there were so many misunderstandings here and there till we met. And yeah, Joy actually stalked on us before we met up! But its a great committee I should say.
This is Joy.
Have been chatting with her a little after the recce and she actually mentioned the following in one of the chats before the camp:
Who would believe right? I mean, she being shy?!
And this was taken right before we left that place. I hate to say this but I started missing her AND THE REST even in the bus itself. They're seriously great hangout friends la.
Honestly speaking, I wasn't happy when I'm told who is in my group and my dorm. It's like so sesat kind without any close friends etc. It's like those quiet and lifeless kind of groupings. Oh my, how to survive right??
my group, the ChicKuJam!
Boy, I was wrong la. This is a great group! I mean I enjoyed all our time together just to know them and all. They're all so shy no doubt, but things change with time.
And even in my dorm! I was actually placed in the same group and dorm as Joy. Imagine, its like 24/7 with her? Ugh. I don't know if I should consider that as a blessing or a torture. Oh well...
ChicKuJam had so much fun and cooperating so well in all games and even in the presentation.
the girls.
Gwendolynn.
Oh, have I mention that I really enjoyed the companions in the camp? Met many new friends from all the churches.
clockwise from top left: xuewen, Andrea, Mun K and Eunice.
Eunice's one real sweet girl la. Before camp itself, I actually pestered babe to put me in Eunice's group but failed miserably. Nevertheless, it was great just being able to see her in-person and to hangout together especially on the last night before she konked out at 4am.
Eunice.
Despite her usual bedtime at 12am, she tried her best to stay up just to fellowship with us (with eyes-rubbing and all) till at least 4am. I seriously look up to her. Have been looking forward just to meet up with her in camp because before this, we only email each other. You can really see the differences between her super formal and super informal emails. Read also can laugh one.
And oh!! This camp is like one good place to meet up with childhood friends? Like..
Carmen and xuewen
They were like, playmates together and studied in the same kindergarten before Carmen shifted. And our dear xuewen actually still recognises her now?? Whoa. That's my friend, xuewen la.. power aje!
And this..
babe and sampat.
These both are good childhood friends also.
We had pyjamas nite (thanks to sampat's wacky ideas) on the last night of camp where we HAD to wear pyjamas even when we present?
Blessing in her pyjamas. As in, her name is really Blessing. I like her name!
babe in her pyjamas.
Looking at each other makes us feel sleepy already. But it was fun. Almost laughed my lungs out at some presentations. Farnee!
If any of you were to ask me which sermon or who encourages me most in this camp, I would say its Joel.
Joel is only 9 years old, he didn't preach or anything but his actions and his spirit itself encourages me alot. Joel is Joy's little brother.
Joel.
Although he's born with an extra chromosome on chromosome 21, that doesn't stop him from singing and worshipping God. He speaks in tongues and he yearns for the Holy Spirit alot. I was told that he will present himself at the altar every week to be prayed for and he will be slained by the Holy Spirit everytime he presents himself. He enjoys every moment he's slained.
(I use different email addresses for mailing, msn and friendster)
It's good to know you all. Keep in touch, people!
