Blogging from the office now.
This is a very cold morning. Despite driving with the aircond switched off almost all the way, I still sneeze!
Now the question is, why do we close our eyes when we sneeze? I believe its some reflex action but why? Can someone please give me some revelations?
I reckon its dangerous if I keep on closing my eyes when I drive :)

I read in an encyclopaedia when I was a kid that it's due to the impact caused when you sneeze, which can be quite astounding according to their calculations. In other words, you're stopping your eyeballs from popping out, as silly as it sounds. (Unless of course, my parents bought me a pariah encyclopaedia)

do ya know bout the myth behind saying 'bless you' when after someone sneezes? it's because ppl believed that your soul would escape when you sneezed, so the 'bless you' is to help 'retrieve' your soul...
what im getting at is, perhaps closing when your eyes when sneezing is to avoid seeing your own soul escaping :P

Aun, they showed this in mythbusters mehh? whoa, just imagine if it was really true, that guy's eyes would have been out! So dangerous! But at least the pressure of sneezing like normal is better than those of us who pinches our nose when we sneeze. That one sure pressure kao kao! right? hahahaha

Eyyy!! Its reflex one okay! Sometimes (or most of the time) I'll ter-accidentally close everything too. Everything includes eyes, nose, mouth. Looking at that, so maybe they come out from my ears la since that's the only passage way left ahhahaha
