I'm In Awe of You.

Was dining with Agnes just now at EuroDeli @ Damansara Kim. The food, the ambience -- I would think they deserve 8.5/10 (they deserve more, but definitely everything would need room for improvement)

We were talking bout camps and everything and suddenly Agnes said, "You'll make a very good doctor"

I personally think that I'd make a better teacher in relating science and medicine to people around me. I love sharing and I bet you can feel my passion and enthusiasm when it comes to talking Science.

Anyway, as I was sharing bout the satisfaction we get when our friends receive the knowledge and how they relate it in their life, applying it and see facts becoming alive (not just for the sake of memorizing).

You know, most scientists are atheists. They don't believe in God. They only believe in proofs, and believing the existence of God without seeing them would be a difficult thing for them and almost impossible.

To them, there must always be a law or theory behind every phenomenon, supporting them with proof but how do one explain bout the disappearance of cancer tumours in last stage patients?

How do one explain when the blind without a retina can see?
How do one explain when a deaf man without the three ear bones (no vibration) started hearing?
How do one explain when a lame man can walk?
How do one explain when the sick people got healed when hands were laid on them?
How do one explain when dead people, died for 3 days were raised and going around sharing the good news?

How do one explain all these? When natural power says cannot, supernatural power will take over. As easy as that, as long as we believe.

You know, the more I study bout human, the more I'm amazed by God? Imagine, it took the scientists good 10 years to identify and complete mapping the entire Human Genome when God carefully created them? How all these genes with the different codings actually give rise to different unique person with different phenotype and God created each person carefully and wonderfully and uniquely and at the end of the creation, He'd say, "This is beautiful"

The more I study bout which gene, or how the apostopsis (programmed cell death) between my fingers was done so that my hand can hold things. Just imagine all our fingers were stuck together as one hand and they were not separated, I cannot even type all these out on this keyboard by allowing my fingers to dance on the keyboard, what more stretching one finger from another on the guitar frets to produce music? If not for the apoptosis that God has already thought of at his creation process.

You know, the more I study how each chamber of the heart functions, how it controls (ECG etc) the speed and amount of the blood flow throughout our body, or the more I study bout nephron and how they only allow certain solutes to pass through the collecting ducts so that no unnecessary water loss happens, or when we study how the liver controls the whole body's metabolism... take into consideration how God carefully put all these together and at the end of the creation, all he said was "This is beautiful"

The more I study bout all these, the smaller I feel.
The more I study, the more I know bout Him
The more I study, the more I'm amazed by Him.
The more I study, the smaller I become.

I can only stand in awe of You, the maker of all things.

Maybe Uh?

I was conversing with Amanda just now and I found out that its true that most people don't really apply what they've studied. I mean, who'd actually apply things we studied like algebra or differentiation or calculus in our daily lives right? Maybe only the engineers do.

But isn't life all about Science? Our everyday life will definitely be consists of Biology, Physics and Chemistry mixed altogether that we cannot even make a distinct separation between these. Life itself is Science! Agree?

Manda feels that I'm a thinker. Maybe I am. Like for example, who bother thinking why would the sound of water become softer as they fill up the water bottle? Well, a weirdo like me do! That's because there are lesser (air) space for the air molecules in the water bottle to vibrate as the water fills up the water bottle hence giving a lower amplitude?

Ronnie once asked me why will there be blue-black. Is it because the cells of that bruised part died? The answer is no.

I don't know how true is it but I personally think its because when we bruise ourselves, the blood vessels of the bruised area will rupture and caused them (the blood) to leak into our tissue under the skin (the blue-black is actually the colour of our blood under the skin). And usually the blood will clot together forming a large clot under the skin. The macrophages of our white blood cells will detect the antigen of these foreign particles (blood under the tissue) and will usually clear these 'foreign particles' up. It will heal on its own within a few days/weeks (depends on the individual).

If you notice, the olden days people don't need to study Immunology to learn bout the macrophages and antigens and whatnot. They just rub the bruise with some force in order to heal faster. Its true you know. Reasons? When they rub it, the blood under the skin will not clot together as one huge blood clot. They will be more evenly spread providing a larger surface area:volume ratio so that more macrophages can do the work at one point of time (increased rate of reaction!). Hence heal faster la.

I don't think any textbooks will tell you the process of bruising or how's the process of getting rid of the blue-blacks but its all application. Interesting eh?

Maybe from now on, you'd like to think bout them? It's interesting la. The more I learn or apply, the more I'm in awe of God because He's the creator of all these things!

He Is The Same God.

Sometimes it takes a lot of us to believe that Jesus died on the cross for us. It's easier to say that He died because He has to, or just believe it as one of the histories recorded in the bible for us. But the truth is, He died for you and I. Period.

He didn't do that so that people would think that He's so good, but He is good. He did that out of love for us all, so that we all can be co-heir with Him, so that we can enjoy all the privileges to be His sons and daughters, and so that we can have eternal life.

You know, sometimes it got me thinking if I deserve all these favour.

For example, 2 weeks ago, I proclaimed and declared that God will cause my brain to absorb like sponge. True enough, it happened! Like, I finished 30 lecture notes of Food Science in ONE day. Isn't that amazing?

I was supposed to go through these notes again for memory purposes, since Dr Siow said it's gonna be really really really tough and she thinks that I may not be able to make through? I felt really really discouraged walking out from her office. What add on was that I was terribly sick yesterday and I had Medical Micro paper that day. At night when I was better, I only managed to finish 5 lectures out of 30 lectures.

The next day, into the exam hall I walked with a smile knowing that He's with me and His favour is with me. It was awesome how God placed that peace in me. I prayed for 2 familiar essay questions and must be from the 5 lectures that I have, and I silently expect for just a pass with these amount of revision I have.

I ended up had ALL the questions (minus one short answer question) answered with my sponge-brain-memory in less than 2 hours (exam time given was 3 hours). Without Him, I couldn't have done that. He never fails to amaze me.

Now, the same God who loves me so much and calls me His beloved is the same God who is walking with you right now and if He could (without scaring you), He wants to tell you in audible voice that He loves you =)

Nothing is impossible for Him, really.

I'm worried for not being worry for my exams.

Despite having to study alone today in the library, it was not that bad after all, eventhough my progress was a little too slow.

Hui Jin's sweet enough to check on me with her occasional text messages.

And as usual crazy fellowship time with Dr E's always awesome and time really flies when we're enjoying ourselves. Thanks for spending your precious time despite the amount of work you have, and the iced mocha! I'm truly truly thankful for you, thank you! Haha, I just felt the need to journal these down as I journey on.

You know what, I'm worried for not being worry for my exams. Dr E thinks I'm crazy. Well, maybe she's right =)

I Was Supposed To Study (Part 2).

Those are wise words from xuewen and she wants me to write it down somewhere.

Xuewen's not well today, so the studying plan not on. And because of this, a lazy bug bit me and maybe give it another try to do some studying at home? Let's see what I did today..

I wonder how many of you still remember this entry bout my nervousness before my Pharmacology presentation last semester?

Part of it was because of the presence of this someone in the class la.

Just today, I had to present for Immunology and this someone was in the lecture hall again and the same pressure was there. History repeats, you see. Thank God this someone left during the second group's presentation (my group was the third). Phew~

Though being under-prepared, I just gave my best shot in presenting. And when I asked my group members if I sounded nervous (everyone sounded nervous) when I was presenting, they told me that I sounded very confident and know my stuffs very well. Uh huh

My looks and voice could be deceiving, you know. If only you were very near me, you would have seen that I was so nervous that I could barely lift my finger to press the 'enter' button to change to the next slide. There was no ATP released! I just went numb.

When it comes to the Q & A session, my group member was asked this question. She couldn't answer, and I couldn't help her answer too.

Mk ah, what's the point having the Gaya but no Mutu?

I Wish The Earth Could Pause For A While.

Not that there's a special someone or special occasion that's going on now that I need to savour every moment.

But, I still think that the earth is spinning too fast. The so-called 24 hours a day, 7 days a week seem to pass so fast as if there's mega sales in timing as well. Up to 70% that is.

Is it just me (and my time management but I supposed this applies for all Monash students) but my work seem to pile up really quick. I know you'd think that I'm procrastinating again but nope! I'm already trying to complete them as efficient as I can but looks like the equilibrium shift is towards the other side -- the adding of work

I was told by this friend and this friend that the psychology paper is not easy. Quite difficult, in fact, by the first friend.

Suddenly, it dawned on me, maybe I can try checking for past year paper in the Monash exam database since its an Australian paper?

"Jeng! Brilliant idea!" I thought.

I got all excited, logging into Monash's website. Into the Library and Learning commons' website and searched for it.


Fuhhh! Really got weyy! Though that paper is old, more than 10 years edi, I don't mind la. Better than being clueless right?

I then happily clicked on that paper and the exam paper (pdf file) loaded.

Today, 08.08.08, other than marking the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic game (big day for them), its also our dear Iri's first time to Taman Rakyat too.

She walked/jogged a little there. Not bad for a start, 3 km of walk and panting her way after 100 meters of jog. But its still not bad, seriously. I could be worse for my first time! Babe, maybe you should come with us?

And Iri's a funny girl. She actually asked me what to wear to jog. Initially, she insisted on slippers! And then, she thinks everyone jogs with jeans!

That's the funniest statement la. Slippers and jeans, I still can't believe it. Joker with flair? LOL.

Went for badminton with xuewen today again. Damn potong when the court that we usually play in has function and another court didn't allow us to play. But thank God for another place. Met a veteran badminton player there. We actually played double with them! It was my first time for double and of course I'm bad at it, I bet you can tell!

Nevertheless, it was a good time playing and its actually quite fun to play doubles la. And I love that place now. I'll be going there from now on. No more the old place, with the "old pervert" (Lee, 2008)!

Next week's spontaneous plan to Singapore is still on. But no accommodation yet. Problems came up with some of my friends and the 'supposingly can stay in' plan got turned down. Talking about disappointments but yeap, I totally understand la. So, it's okay! =)

Hostel there doesn't seem safe and hotel would be too expensive for us. I've calculated, with the amount of money I have now (I don't want to ask from dad or mom), I'll have less than SGD 50 left for all my food and moving around Singapore (mrt/buses).

We haven't booked any accommodation yet. We've discussed and we'll just go check out upon arrival only. Hopefully those places are not packed and left us with no choice but to bunk in Changi Airport for the night? I hope not. So yeap, I believe You will provide.

P/s: Anyone knows anyone in Singapore that has an extra room for rent? I'm sure they're way safer than backpackers hostel.

This week's my last week of holiday before my semester resumes again. So I have to enjoy it all the more la right?


I love holidays! Well, who doesn't?

Results came out yesterday. I was (still am) on cloud nine! I was focusing so much on my own faith and when I did my devotion the night before the released of results, He reminded me that I should be focusing more on Jesus -- His complete work on the cross and not my own level of faith. This reminder came in so timely. So obvious that He was speaking to me.

That's also when Amy's text message came in, very timely, thanks dear! And Thank You!

I'm black

Went for jogging sessions with xuewen just few days back. And just yesterday evening, she suddenly noticed my ultra-charcoaled calves when I was ahead of her.

Yes, I'm black.


It's not very obvious in this picture.

My legs used to be very fair and people usually make fun of it. For those of you who have seen me in shorts before, I bet you'd say that my legs were never mine (compared to the skin colour of my arms and face). I was told that no blood was flowing in my lower limbs, and some would ask me to sunbathe my lower limbs more.

Well, their wish came true =)

Update: Quite done with the shedding of skin on both my shoulders and arm already. Now, its my lower part of my legs' turn! Ugh. Spare me from the agony man! And the scars of the jelly fish sting is redish and itchy. Slightly swolen.

10th Anniversary ISCF Rally

I can remember myself being the happiest person maybe the second happiest person (after Sabrina) three years back when Jo-anne gave her life to Jesus during the ISCF rally. I can even remember the date -- 2nd July 2005. Tears of joy streamed down my cheeks while hugging her.


Just last year, it was Vivien's turn. She gave her life to Christ, also in an ISCF rally! Both Vy and myself and the rest have been praying for her and with her. I remember a big troop of us joined her and supported when the counselor shared with her. We all said the sinner's prayer together with her!


Now, I'm very excited because tomorrow later will be the 10th anniversary ISCF rally!! It's gonna be different. No more in Hin Hua school halls, no more the normal stuffs. And I believe, God's presence and aura will be so strong that everyone who drives by (or around) that area will be led into the stadium. Mark my words!

Pathology paper wasn't all that good for me. Stayed back to start my revision for GEN 3030.

Got chased out from the library at 11pm. They threatened me by switching off the lights and aircond and other power supplies =(

Li Cher, the good samaritan brought me home and we she stayed up all night to study while I studied with short naps intervals until morning.




Thursday

Both Jing Tien and Ming Hui accompanied me for lunch, escorted me to the exam hall and waited until I went in, wished me luck, and Jing Tien WAITED for my paper to end before she goes home just to see how I did and all.

I was beyond blessed by all these simple gestures. They melt my heart. Oh well, thanks buddy!

It's located at Bandar Puteri, Puchong. Somewhere near the Shabu-shabu place. The food is a little pricey, but looking at the portion and the taste -- its all worth it.

Friday


Decided to make a day trip to Malacca only at 11.45am. The Singaporeans are down for church camp since Wednesday. Was there just to meet them and to do a little food hunting. It was very nice of Yoongkang to come with me.

It was seriously a crazy thing to do la. Seriously, no plans, nothing. We went there by faith.

We took

• KTM from Klang to Bank Negara (2 stops after KL sentral).
  
• Then LRT from Bank Negara to Plaza Rakyat (Pudu)
• And then bus from Pudu to Malacca

Everyone fights for business here. Lots of yelling around.

Reached Malacca Sentral at 5pm (and planned to leave back for Klang at 8.30pm). Honestly, I have no idea how to move about in Malacca. Joy told me that they'll be Bayview Hotel, somewhere near Jonker Walk, that's all I know.

I asked the bus drivers if they'll pass Jonker Walk. They pointed at the red Panorama Bus (which was meant for tourists). This bus is a very slow-moving town bus which will stop by most places in Malacca town. By faith, we hopped on. The seats in the bus are somewhat like those in KTM where the passengers face each other. So, as Yoong Kang and I tried figuring out the bus route map, Mun Wah accidentally eavesdropped the conversations between 3 aunties with a local there, tried explaining to that local bout their visit to Malacca.

Me: Ahhh..How you know?

(Those sitting opposite us heard us, exchanged glances and smiles with us)

Wah: Are you all from Singapore?

Me (adding on): From Bethany?

Aunties: Yes, we are!! How you all know?

Wah: Yeah, we overheard your conversation. We're going there too, to meet some youth there.

Aunties: Oh really?? How do you know them?

Me: Last year's youth camp. We're from Klang. Pastor Alan's church

Aunties: Pastor Alan Tan's church?! He was our camp speaker last year! What a small world!! It must be a divine appointment. We hopped on the wrong bus just now (there's another bus that can send us straight to the hotel) but if we didn't, we wouldn't get to meet you all. I'm supposed its in the plan. Its so good!!

It was indeed a divine appointment! The local told us where we should alight and it was really good. We didn't know where we should alight all but God's hand was upon us. (Btw Joy, Auntie Bibi told me bout your coming that day! LOL. No more sekret plan for you!)

Didn't allow the auntie to tell the youth bout our coming because it was meant to be a surprise. They brought us to the ballroom where some of them were involved with music practice. Eunice had a shocked when she saw me. The practice ended just then and she ran up to me and gave me a big hug. Met Elaine and Dennis there too.

They then brought us to Andrea and Lingling's room. They were taking their nap and when Andrea opened the door, her jaw dropped for a while, literally. She wasn't sure if it was a dream or reality. The same goes for Lingling. I supposed this is a successful surprise? They were all very gamdong with this visit.

It was really really good just to meet them again. Spend some time and went for dinner together. They had to excuse themselves earlier for service, so Yoongkang, Wah and myself walked around by faith. There were no buses around, nothing.

Wah wanted to visit the historical buildings (A Famosa, Stadhuys etc). A visit to Malacca isn't complete without visiting these places right? Yoongkang asked a security guard how to get to the "Rumah Merah" (red house, since we couldn't pronounce Stadhuys) and he directed us. We walked for a good 10-15 minutes and still don't see any signs that we're reaching the Rumah Merah. We finally saw a row of red colour shops. Gosh, at that time I seriously hope that the security guard didn't interpret the rumah merah thingy wrongly.

It was night already by the time we reached there. Too dark and nothing else to see =(




Next to that place is the famous Jonker Walk (Joy, very near uh?). Li Cher was busy that night and couldn't send us to bus station and according to some jokers, its quite impossible to get a bus back to KL that night. One ticket maybe, but not three. Anyway, we ended up decided to stayback for the night and agreed to bunk in with them. Yoongkang didn't wanna stay and he insisted in going back himself -- alone! I didn't quite like the idea of him going back alone and felt bad in allowing him to do so. He took the cab (and it was very expensive!) and managed to get a bus and reached home really late -- around 12.45am? If there's a direct journey, it should take only 2 1/2 hours back to Shah Alam. I'm sorry, brother!


Wah and I then took a stroll at Jonker Walk (since we were already there). It was her first time there and of course she was quite excited.


Magical Ice-Cream

Had some random short conversations with the vendors there as I walked. It's really interesting in just talking to people of all kinds. Put on my broken mandarin in conversing with them. The auntie who sells these lollies refused to be in the picture, she said she's old and ugly already.



It's basically some old skool ice-lollies. We bought a kickapoo-flavour one. RM 1 each.

Next, there were so many stalls selling pets. Cute miniature poodle puppy for RM 1980 and another stall actually sells DYED HAMSTERS!



Ain't kidding. These hamsters are dyed in different colours and sold for RM 16. The normal coloured ones (not dyed) are sold at RM 8 each. Super cheap but my point is, they. are. dyed!

Chatted with the uncle who sells these. He told me that his supplier didn't want to tell him how they're coloured but most probably the supplier either dip them in paint or spray them. Its a secret recipe it seems. Good time chatting and I asked him if I can take pictures of these hamsters. He said why not? When I started taking pictures, everyone who was around me took out their phones and did the same. Looks like everyone wants to take a picture of it but they dare not. Ask and you will receive!

Next, saw this stall that sells Korokke, some Japanese snacks. I talked to the auntie a little as she explains what's inside and all. I bought one to try. The ingredients include minced chicken, carrots and mashed potatoes along with oozing cheese. It's RM 1.80 each.

Then I asked if I can take a picture of their stall, because I may wanna blog bout it. The auntie was so excited and asked me to go ahead. Wah suggested that I should include the cook in the picture as well.

There, he overheard what we said and happily posed for the super-slow-camera-phone I was using. It was seriously a good time spent just walking and buying and bargaining and talking to people.

All in all, God's light was shining through us and His favour was obvious. We walked back to the hotel after that, around 11pm. Their service just ended, met up with them and adjourned for supper and came back around 1am.

Eunice, the cinderella actually came to my room to spend some time with us after washing up. It was really surprising as she always needs sleep more than anything else. Beyond blessed.


Saturday

Woke up really early, around 5 something. Washed up, joined them for morning devotion and breakfast.

They're truly a great blessing! Gave our hugs, bid our goodbyes.


Li Cher, Kim Cheng and his sis picked us up around 10am from the hotel. Both my mobile phones' batteries died on me. The same for Mun Wah's.

Upon reaching Malacca Sentral, Kim Cheng's car got knocked by a taxi's door. The lady inside the taxi opened the door without looking and so happened Kim Cheng drove past. Quite a damage. Left Mun Wah to help Kim Cheng there (she has experience) while I ran to get the bus tickets (Kim Cheng said there should be a bus at 1030am and it was already 1015am that time). To my horror, the earliest direct bus back to Klang would be 2pm (means will reach Klang at 430pm). I have no choice but to look for the earliest bus from Malacca to KL. Bought the 11am tickets and ran back to the accident place.

Malacca Sentral was so big that I couldn't find the entrance where the accident took place. I think I could have ran for at least 2-3km around the place before I finally found the place. Mun Wah was not there anymore! And both my phones cannot be used, not like I can call her phone. Ran back into the building and tried looking for Mun Wah (it was already 1045am, and bus would leave at 11am). Finally I thought I should give a try by calling her using a public phone. I ran to the information counter.

"Excuse me, may I know where's the public phone please?"

"OI CHEE MUN KHEA!!!!"

A very familiar voice. It was Mun Wah! So happened she was at the information counter as well and she was about to make announcement through the PA system to look for me. Good thing she hasn't, it'd be so embarrassing. The officers laughed at us when we met.

I knew I was going to be late for my music practice but I couldn't contact anyone else. Upon reaching KL station at 1pm, I called Amelia (the only number I remember) to help me inform the rest of the musicians to come later while Mun Wah calls mom to pick us up from the Klang station in 40 minutes time. Walked a few streets to Pasar Seni (by faith again, don't know where's that place) to catch a bus back to Klang from KL.

Phew, what a journey! But it was all good! Sounds a li'l like the adventure of the Famous Five I read. LOL.

And mobile phone is not a want, it is a need!

Rushed for practice, and youth and then grandpa's birthday celebration at Crocodile Farm, Subang Jaya. Had ostrich meat for dinner! The dinner costs up to RM800 for a table!

It was a long day. A great time together nevertheless.

Looking forward to tomorrow's Food Feast with Jing Tien, Ming Hui, Eevon and Tian Sze.

And Island Hopping with The Gang this weekend. Can't wait.

Just One More!

Another paper down. Pathology, it was quite a nightmare!

Not too bad actually, come to think bout it. If only I didn't need to juggle between GEN3030 and Patho (which is back-to-back), and have an ali-kaba-zom-memory, I bet things would be even greater. Nevertheless, I still thank You for your faithfulness in my life. Do pray that the examiner finds favour with my answers okay.

And I don't know why I kept writing the word "Amelia" instead of "Anaemia"in my exam paper just now. Very close, isn't it? And she asked me to stop thinking bout her. Cis.

Tomorrow, tomorrow! Tomorrow will be my last (and it's the subject that I afraid most). Like how Mun Wah preached last week, "Just walk into the hall believing that your brain is the smartest brain there because of His favour in you" (or something like that la). The thing is, I can't remember much as I read now. Very very saturated already.

Accident Happens.

Nerding progress isn't very good. Rather tortoise-like. Not as efficient as when The Gang was around (I miss them!). The pressure and motivation back then got me going -- unlike now. Nevertheless, I believe it's still way better than me being at home!

Camping-in-library sessions have been good. Exam season definitely drives people crazy, undeniably.

You'd see Eevon and MJ with their boh tea bags, thermos and some stolen sugar and creamer from San Francisco Coffee at the cafeteria -- happily picnicking in their study room.

And Ming Hui, she'd just sing and dance all in a sudden.

As for myself, occasional whinings and wailing? Does camwhoring counts?

Have been thinking and dreaming alot these days.

I was driving home using Kesas highway from school just now, and I was dreaming.

I drove towards the touch 'n go lane, following the car in front of me. And guess what?

The car drove off after touching his card and I blindly followed him! Suddenly, it came to my realization when I saw the red light and I haven't paid the toll!

I gave an emergency break and thank God I managed to stop on time before the pole hits my windscreen. By the way, I was just 2 inches below/away from the pole. Phew~ That was close. I quickly reversed my car and touched the card. My lub dub increased by multiple folds.

I need alertness.

It was her who motivated me to school everyday and to camp in the library. If I could put it this way, she was the primary reason and exam was the secondary.

Interesting lessons.

Oh, what a glorious day! Handed in my last copy of report and assignment today. Phew~ Now I can focus and start my revision.

Btw, I managed to finish my Clinical Chemistry syllabus yesternight for today's test! Fuyohh~

It was really rushy this afternoon as xuewen (and her friends) had to pick up soft drinks and cakes from Pyramid just now. Yeah, my role as their honoured chauffeur.

Penalty, I was late for my test (after dropping them back at college and to park my car, ran to the lab, pressed the lift button and to wait for it to elevate me to level 6 TAKES TIME). Oh well, my bad.

Obviously Dr Ton wasn't very happy with me. Collected the question from her, and completed them in 5 mins (only 10 MCQ). Phew~

Anyway, out of the entire Clinical Chemistry textbook I covered yesternight, I found several interesting points.

1. Our gut (stomach, intestines etc) was very sterile when we were borned. As you all know our colon is the dirtiest organ (which leads to anus) in our body and it inhabits lots of bacteria -- some that's helpful for our digestion and all. It was sterile UNTIL we eat junks like now. Not literally junks, but yeah.
   
   
2. We need cholesterol to make Vitamin D. We always think cholesterol is bad. But the sun converts 7-dehydrocholesterol to vitamin D. Hence, that's the precursor for vitamin D -- strong bones. No cholesterol, no strong bone? Haha.. what a way to put it.
   
   
3. Overdose of Vitamin A and D brings toxic to our body. We tend to take all kind of vitamin supplement just in case we do not have enough vitamin in our body to combat illnesses. The thought, "Its okay to have more, but not less". Nope! Overdose could lead to nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, drowsiness, headache, fatigue, bone pain, loss of hair, discolouration of skin -- for vit A; and hypercalcaemia for vit D! (omg!)
   
   
4. Rhodopsin (Vitamin A + opsin) will be destroyed by bright lights. This is interesting. As you all know Vit A is for night vision right? Rhodopsin is a retinal pigment -- consists of vit A and a protein namely the opsin which aids in night vision. In bright lights, they are destroyed! So we take in vit A -- in dim light, they help us to see in the dark; in bright lights, bye bye!
   
   
5. Too much of raw egg white can lead to hair loss and dermatitis (biotin deficiency). There's this protein (avidin) present in the raw egg white binds with the biotin hence prevent its absorption. Biotin deficiency -- hair loss, skin problem. Cook your egg!

*yawns* Okay, I know. So much of unnecessary and unwanted facts right? Just felt like throwing them out. Haha.
