8th - 11th December 2008



Raub -- The TransformUs camp.

God's presence was so strong and evident in every session. 150-160 young people were so hungry and thirsty for His touch and He touched them in His very own way in every session.

The praise and worship sessions were superbly awesome; the sessions by Pastor Gaious Lawrence, Pastor Steffen and and Pastor Benjamin were awesome;





the games (obstacles course, canoe-ing, high ropes and flying foxes, handicaps game and telematches) were also awesome.

So much for being a 'camp doctor' so to speak, many unavoidable injuries took place too. Not to mention muscle-aches in everyone's not-so-fit body. Good experience I would say.



23 young people gave their life to Christ just an hour before we left that place. We learned how to discern and listen to the Holy Spirit and now most of us can listen! It is really awesome I tell you to be living in His guidance!

12th December 2008

We had a combined cell Post Camp Celebration at Babe's house ala potbless. We all had our shares of the 3Fs --- Food, Fellowship, Fun!

Babe feels that Mun Wah was checking her out here.

Many shared their experiences and what they gained from this camp. Basically almost everyone shared including those who hardly open their mouth. I'm really blessed and encouraged by what everyone shared especially Alex's. God has definitely been so real to everyone in the camp!

I like how xuewen aptly put these; a pat on your back, Harvest Youth!

13th December 2008

Monash Open Day --- I volunteered to be the student helper there. The expected crowd was around 2000 people.

It has been great just being able to talk to people or bringing them around Monash. It feels so good to bless them with what you have and what you're capable of and I received alot of comments from those people outside that Monash people are all so friendly.

14th December 2008

MGS Primary Alumni gathering was held at Windmills, Aeon ala buffet.





Time really flies. It was 10 years ago when I was in Pn Peh's standard 6 class and now, even her youngest daughter has finished her standard 6. Amazingly, the teachers still look the same.

About 60 people turned up and it was a great time catching up with friends and teachers. Thanks for coming and making it a successful one.

To the girl in the middle,

So much of packing and tidying room at 3am and washing my car at 12 noon all for you, I'm sure by now you can feel the love from the girl on your left and on your right. Although the time spent was just a short one, I think the amount of laughter I had sums up my whole month's laughter --- yes, that much.

Oh yeah, thanks so much too for those unwanted touches (eeww), you geek! Haha!

Be strong and you know we love you. Looking forward in meeting you once again. Hugs.

The Seed of Faith.

Next Monday's Hari Raya Haji.

I think many doesn't (or even bother to) know the significance of this celebration. As long as its a holiday right?

The Muslims celebrate this to be reminded of Abraham's act in sacrificing Isaac as an act of obedience (Gen 22).

Abraham believes that our God is a God who provides (Jehovah Jireh). Abraham believes that all he need to do is to obey. He knows that God can give and he could also take away if He wants to (Job 1:21b) but He doesn't. Abraham also knows that God has plans in our lives, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). So God definitely will not harm him by taking away his son.

The only difference here is that in the Muslim's context, the boy being sacrificed was not Isaac but Ishmael (more known as Ismail by the Malays). This is because they believe that Ishmael was Abraham's oldest son and hence the birth of the Muslim line. Interestingly, Nabi Muhammad was one of Ishmael's descendents, from the very line of the Muslim faith. Now, that explains aight?

Interesting uh?

Another name for Hari Raya Haji is Hari Raya Korban -- Sacrifice. So on this day, the Muslims will sacrifice a lembu (and not kambing, Amy! One mehhs and another mooos, they differ okay!). They believe that God's the provider and usually the meat of the slaughtered cow will be distributed to everyone in the village.

Ask me how I know all these. Maybe I was once there in the history? Haha jk.

Based On Observation..

I just came back from badminton.

Looking at my wet attire, I came to conclude that our dorsal (back) sweats more than our ventral body. I mean, comparing the whole length from shoulder to the sole of my leg between my dorsal and my ventral.

I supposed this happens to everyone as well eh? Have anyone wondered why? Maybe that explains the lesser fats portion on our dorsal body because they're all used up!

And the ventral part of body sweat lesser, no wonder la the presence of tummies and what not.

p/s: good news to those who doesn't wanna have big bumps at the dorsal side, they sweat more profusely! =)

Edit: Not sweat, but perspire. I got reminded when correcting Jo in mamak just now. Only animals sweat, and I'm not an animal =)
