Happy New Year!

It has been mainstream for one to say that 2013 was not their year and hope 2014 would be a better year for them.

Upon reflection, I personally wanted to say 2013 was a great year. It definitely had its ups and downs, many things took place but if not for God, i would really be nothing. Hence I really wanna thank God for always being faithful in my life.

Some of the highlights:

  • i moved out from my Klang home (comfort zone) to stay with friends (Feb)
  • i started doing my own laundry, cooking meals, cleaning (occasionally)
  • became a home barista (loving it!)
  • travelled to Bandung, Indonesia (Feb); Krabi, Thailand (Sept) and Jogja, Indonesia (Oct)
  • started new job (new career and super blessed with great colleagues and most importantly, an awesome immediate superior! (Oct)
  • signed up for Gorgeous Fitness aiming to be really fit (yes, i've gained those muscles now but haven'd shed those fats away yet --- 2014 aim! 22% fats)
  • started outstation to East Malaysia (and went to Brunei and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah) for my very first time! *excitement*
  • signed the offer letter (for home loan) and bought my very first own property (Oct-Dec)
Like said, definitely there were hiccups throughout the year but looking back, God has really blessed me. I really want to take this opportunity to thank God for my family, good company and colleagues (and awesome team!), good friends around and my loved one. I pray that God's hands will continue to move through my life and I could be His walking testimony of His faithfulness in my life.

I can't thank You more.

And now, I welcome 2014 with open arms, believing that GREATER THINGS ARE YET TO COME! THANK YOU LORD! (:

Different Seasons In Our Lives

Last week, during the closing of the service, Pastor James Gen shared something really beautiful. It was something about us being different seasons in our lives.

Winter - things are cold, harsh, no living things, not pleasant
Spring - there are buddings everywhere, living things start growing, there's hope
Summer - everything is around, beautiful, promising
Autumn - fruits are ripe, a season to harvest

Such beautiful analogy! In lives, we may all be in different seasons. Be it in our career, family, relationships. During Winter, things may be cold, not working the way we wanted, harsh and not pleasant. But if only we endure through, Hope (Spring) will come our way! After Hope, will come Promise and after Promise, will come a season to Harvest. Such a beauty isn't it? (:

Hope in whatever seasons you're in, remember that Hope, Promises & Harvest is waiting to come! Be blessed guys! (:

Self-pity People

I'm not sure if you're come across people in your lives that are self-pity? I just found out a few today. Really sad!

It's so disappointing when i found out about these people. People who are capable to work but may not be the most top having to push other people around them down in order to be seen. This is really pitiful!

They would spend most of their times convincing each other (the alike types of people) to build a bigger force and spend their time gossiping and complaining away about other people so that they will feel better. Especially when they agree with each other (same comfort sentences).

I wouldn't say that self-pity is a bad trait (at least they know what they're lacking in, and they should continue to pursue what they couldn't have). But its really unhealthy to wanting to build bigger forces and ruin relationships and friendships as they go on.

Its really sad if they're in your workforce. I'm glad I've made the right move, really disappointing! :(

2 November.

Today when I was speaking to Alvin, Alvina overheard our conversation and told me something very encouraging.

"You're someone who impacted me alot and have big influence in my Christian life"

I thank God that i was given a chance to be able to be part of her life and to be able to impact her in a way or another.

And it was a great timely reminder. What am I doing now and what have I been doing? Have I been encouraging people and impacting others as my day goes? Or have i totally forgotten my role on earth?

Thank You Lord.

And sempena Hari Deepavali today, Saturday service had a henna booth. Eventhough it may be just a temporary 'engrave', I took to this opportunity to remind myself on God's favour in my life (and whenever i flex my biceps, the favour gets really BIG -- like a BIG FAVOUR).

Have a great weekend everyone!

20.10.2013

Made one of the biggest decisions in my life (other than following Jesus).

Let's pray it was a sound decision and blessings will overflow from there. Thank You Lord! :)
