Accident Happens.

Nerding progress isn't very good. Rather tortoise-like. Not as efficient as when The Gang was around (I miss them!). The pressure and motivation back then got me going -- unlike now. Nevertheless, I believe it's still way better than me being at home!

Camping-in-library sessions have been good. Exam season definitely drives people crazy, undeniably.

You'd see Eevon and MJ with their boh tea bags, thermos and some stolen sugar and creamer from San Francisco Coffee at the cafeteria -- happily picnicking in their study room.

And Ming Hui, she'd just sing and dance all in a sudden.

As for myself, occasional whinings and wailing? Does camwhoring counts?

Symptoms symptoms.

Monash Library. Made myself so at home -- only without my poppee.

Met many new people, made many new friends. Afterall, everything is good.

---

Have been thinking and dreaming alot these days.

I was driving home using Kesas highway from school just now, and I was dreaming.

I drove towards the touch 'n go lane, following the car in front of me. And guess what?

The car drove off after touching his card and I blindly followed him! Suddenly, it came to my realization when I saw the red light and I haven't paid the toll!

I gave an emergency break and thank God I managed to stop on time before the pole hits my windscreen. By the way, I was just 2 inches below/away from the pole. Phew~ That was close. I quickly reversed my car and touched the card. My lub dub increased by multiple folds.

I need alertness.

Beyond lame but still love her.

It was her who motivated me to school everyday and to camp in the library. If I could put it this way, she was the primary reason and exam was the secondary.

All things.

Had a great time with xuewen yday.

She always asks me things that I never thought of and its she, who always makes me realize things and hence revelations. I thank God for her.

Anyway.

Does thing..

  1. Happens for a reason?

  2. (or) pure co-incidents?

I personally believe its the former. Don't you think so too?

"And we know that God causes ALL THINGS to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose"

Interesting lessons.

Oh, what a glorious day! Handed in my last copy of report and assignment today. Phew~ Now I can focus and start my revision.

Btw, I managed to finish my Clinical Chemistry syllabus yesternight for today's test! Fuyohh~

It was really rushy this afternoon as xuewen (and her friends) had to pick up soft drinks and cakes from Pyramid just now. Yeah, my role as their honoured chauffeur.

Penalty, I was late for my test (after dropping them back at college and to park my car, ran to the lab, pressed the lift button and to wait for it to elevate me to level 6 TAKES TIME). Oh well, my bad.

Obviously Dr Ton wasn't very happy with me. Collected the question from her, and completed them in 5 mins (only 10 MCQ). Phew~

Anyway, out of the entire Clinical Chemistry textbook I covered yesternight, I found several interesting points.

  1. Our gut (stomach, intestines etc) was very sterile when we were borned. As you all know our colon is the dirtiest organ (which leads to anus) in our body and it inhabits lots of bacteria -- some that's helpful for our digestion and all. It was sterile UNTIL we eat junks like now. Not literally junks, but yeah.

  2. We need cholesterol to make Vitamin D. We always think cholesterol is bad. But the sun converts 7-dehydrocholesterol to vitamin D. Hence, that's the precursor for vitamin D -- strong bones. No cholesterol, no strong bone? Haha.. what a way to put it.

  3. Overdose of Vitamin A and D brings toxic to our body. We tend to take all kind of vitamin supplement just in case we do not have enough vitamin in our body to combat illnesses. The thought, "Its okay to have more, but not less". Nope! Overdose could lead to nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, drowsiness, headache, fatigue, bone pain, loss of hair, discolouration of skin -- for vit A; and hypercalcaemia for vit D! (omg!)

  4. Rhodopsin (Vitamin A + opsin) will be destroyed by bright lights. This is interesting. As you all know Vit A is for night vision right? Rhodopsin is a retinal pigment -- consists of vit A and a protein namely the opsin which aids in night vision. In bright lights, they are destroyed! So we take in vit A -- in dim light, they help us to see in the dark; in bright lights, bye bye!

  5. Too much of raw egg white can lead to hair loss and dermatitis (biotin deficiency). There's this protein (avidin) present in the raw egg white binds with the biotin hence prevent its absorption. Biotin deficiency -- hair loss, skin problem. Cook your egg!

*yawns* Okay, I know. So much of unnecessary and unwanted facts right? Just felt like throwing them out. Haha.

I'm out!

Unpredictable.

Venue: Overseas Restaurant, Asia Jaya
Date: 19 May (Mom's bday)

We were busy eating in a private function room when dad's client (bro of IOI mall's chairman) spotted us.

Uncle: Your family? Wow. This is your eldest ah? *pointing to Ken*

Dad: Oh, no no. He's my daughter's bf. This is my eldest *pointing to mk*

Uncle: Oh.. She's very small-sized uh?

Dad: She's already in her 4th year uni.

Uncle: University?? Don't bluff la. She looks so small. I thought she's in secondary school at most.

Dad: Really la. My second one already 2nd year uni. This is the youngest *pointing at Sheung*

Uncle: Seriously ah?? *looks at Sheung* This one must be in primary school.

(cough. Yeah, LAST year of primary school. Form one next year, gosh)

Dad: Yeah. So these three la.

Uncle: Very surprising ah. You so big, they so small. Must be your bor (wife) la (yada yada..)

Conversation went on mixed with Hokkien which I don't quite understand. So yeah, that's it.

Got mocked being in secondary school again! Hopefully not because of my IQ or some bodoh look.

---

Just got back from another friend's wake. Okay, not like my friend has passed on -- her mom. Condolence to you, friend.

It's heartfelt and maybe, shocking?

Like how everybody puts it, life is fragile (and unpredicatable). We won't know what and who's next. It could be me, yes me.

Ehhh, death (and illnesses) doesn't happen to older people only okay though at most times they always happen to adults. They usually come without warning, and common symptoms are usually neglected by us all.

For example, chest pain. It's pretty common. Mun Wah, Kenneth and myself have that quite frequently. Does that mean we all suffer from myocardial infarction (heart attack)?

Talking bout that, we're pretty worried bout dad. Mom said he felt a little heartburn for sometime already and I'm sure most of you do not need to study Medical Science to know that heartburn is one of the symptoms for myocardial infarction. It's in the gene (I think) since both my grandparents died from MI while my uncles all have it.

Anyway, mom's forcing him to have a full body checkup next week. I know he won't bother and as was trying to play doctor on his own but still.. I'm so gonna convince him again though I know he won't listen too.

If only he's like my grandparents..

Talking bout my grandparents, they're so funny la! You actually won't believe it. They actually look highly on me (higher than their medical doctors/specialist). The funniest part is that they'll consult me and only eat their prescribed medicine only AFTER my explanation and after my greenlight. I seriously don't feel the need for that, anyway.. grandparents....

Do keep dad in prayer. And people, eat your greens! (I'm talking to you, Tan Sue-Li! -- FC also! Pity your kids mann =P )

---

Last load of assignment and reports pile. Phew! *pats self on the back*

I can must go full force on revision next week on. If any of you happen to see me on the road or somewhere doing something but not studying next week, do give me a nudge okay. Right, not literally la but yeahh..

Off to nerding mode now. Clinical Chem test tomorrow (later) and I haven't really studied anything. Tsk tsk.. never change.

40 hours.

40 hours already, since my last sleep and I'm still so awake!

I'm very proud of myself being able to complete two reports simultaneously, print them out and got them passed up before the due date! So, I should give myself some ganjaran tonight =)

I can relate that prayer's something powerful. Ask for His strength, His wisdom and just receive it because we know whatever we ask for will be given to us according to His will.

So, ask!

Drama.

I always feel my life is like a drama.

There were many actors and actresses that walked in and out of my life, influencing and impacting my life in different episodes.

And I always feel in the end of the day, (when I'm in heaven) I'd get to just sit back and watch this masterpiece drama that I directed.

In one of the many episodes, the appearance of May Jean and Jean Nee in my life make it even more colourful and I'm thankful for them.

Mom Owns Today!

As usual the youth church and children church would come out with something for occasions like Mother's day and whatnot.

This time, the youth presented the song "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban accompanied by three violinists and a pianist. After the second transposition, we paused. Every kid read out their messages for their mom (with piano playing as background music).

This is Mun Sheung's (please don't mind her broken English, paiseh only)

Mummy, I like your hugs. It's soft like cotton and warm as a love angel flying everywhere.
Your advice and scold is meaningful to me.
You still love me whenever I am lazy or bad.
I am very upset when your age is increasing and you will leave me.
Seriously, I can't live without you.
You light up my life, you make me born into this world.
You cook my favourite dishes, you take care of me when I am scared.
But I only just did a little thing and bring problem to you.
I really hope you don't hate me.
I am very touched of your love.
And I LOVE YOU!!

-originally written by Chee Mun Sheung, '08-

Then the choir continued another round of chorus and ended the song. No doubt tears welled up in most mothers' eye (and non-mothers too). Mom, I bet you're proud of us! =)

Yesterday Xuewen asked what I got for mom.

We got her this:

Photobucket

Yeap, a plant. Nothing significant right?

Not really.. a closer look for you.

Photobucket

Photobucket

It was just a seed when we bought this. We planted it, watered it and grew it.

We cannot afford diamond and gold for you, mom but I bet this is one of the greatest gifts you ever had. It's the thought (along with heart) that counts right? =)

Just because,

Photobucket

WE LOVE YOU, MOM

&

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

now don't say we don't sayang you ah! =P

And You Know What..

Yeap! I know I'm right =)

Banyak Random!

One random riddle:

When Jesus plays a musical instrument, what's His favourite chord?

Answer: Gsus (Je-sus)

LOL! Good one right?

---

Today during the kg meeting in CF, we were supposed to introduce ourselves and share something interesting that happened last week just to break the ice.

I like what Rachel shared.

As everyone knows that yawn is contagious right?

She said, there was once when she was on the wheel when she saw a policeman yawning. As a reflex, she yawned and then she turned away. The driver beside her car saw her yawning and he yawned as well. Hence, the yawn was passed on from the policeman to Rachel to the driver next car. LOL!

And also, there was once when she was driving pass the Puchong toll, she came across this garbage truck who passed by the toll and guess what?

GARBAGE TRUCK HAS TO PAY TOLL AS WELL! I didn't know that! LOL!

New revelations eh? =)

Oh wow. I know I can always count on her. She's a great musician! And did I say that she's a great musician? She is laaa.. (Seriously! I stress!)

And today I learned a new chord (taught by Japheth though)!

Monash CF worship, I hope I'm ready!

---

Went for badminton yesterday with Xuewen and Yiwei. It was a good game I must say!

Either I didn't do my warmups and cooldowns properly or have I exerted too much energy that my one sided (only the right side) muscles are fatigue now.

It feels so weird when the body divides itself symmetrically (like really really half?). The muscles of my right forearm, shoulder, upper back and abit of my right gluteus maximus (a nicer way to say buttock's muscle!) doesn't feel as good as those on the left but nonetheless, they should be alright!

I don't know if you notice these but I personally feel that the way our body works very awesome la. Everytime whenever I flip the pages of Anatomy, Pharmacology, Pathology and Physiology notes, He never fail to amaze me with His masterpiece.

As you all know, EVERY individual has his own unique fingerprint right? It's so amazing to think that He came out with millions unique copies of fingerprint everyday (millions of babies are borned everyday) and no plagiarism were done for these fingerprints! How awesome!

I'm pretty sure if we were supposed to come out with so many fingerprint designs everyday, we would have plagiarized some dead old man's fingerprint somewhere across the continent for each newborn baby because we know plagiarism checker cannot detect them *insert evil laughter* but our Daddy's NOT in-line with the plagiarism business. Unlike us students hurhurr. He deserves more wows for these already.

Oh well, that was just the physical properties.

Now I believe you won't want to go into every gene that He has came out with when there are gazillion of unique genes involved in every species. It took so many genius scientists from all over the world for a good 13 years just to learn and to complete the Human Genome Project of only a single species i.e. the homosapiens.

What about other species? And the job of those great scientists for that 13 years were just to study the genes in a human, now what about the credit to the Creator and Compiler of all these genes? Many wows!

Again, I could only stand in awe of You.

Indescribable, Uncontainable.

My chains are gone, I've been set free

My God, My saviour has ransomed me

And like a flood, His mercy reigns

Unending love, AMAZING GRACE~

Indeed, Your grace is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing!

I'm so filled by You now and I can't contain it!!

Here I stand in awe of You.
